O-Wool™ blankets are made in the USA from 100% certified organic merino wool, a luxurious wool that keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. O-Wool™ blankets are washed without harsh chemicals and are free from all moth-proofing or other treatments. Organic wool is naturally resistant to dust mites, molds, mildews and odors. Wool helps regulate body temperature so it makes a great all season blanket.

Care: O-Wool™ blankets should be hand washed or machine washed in cold water, delicate cycle. Lay flat or line dry. Please allow for about 5% normal shrinkage. As with any wool product, these blankets should not be put in the dryer.

What is the difference between conventional wool and organic wool? The main difference between organic wool and conventional wool is that certified organic wool is from sheep which do not receive routine chemical treatments such as drenching or dipping for parasites, fly dressings, antibiotics, growth promoting hormones, and they do not graze on pastures that have been sprayed with herbicides. Organic sheep are bread for resistance to parasites and graze outdoors year round to build healthy immune systems. Organic sheep must graze only on certified organic farms and be fed certified organic feeds. Genetically engineered or modified feed is prohibited.
